Layla Graham

Say hello to our new Electrical Engineer, Layla Graham who is a final year Electronic Engineering student at Sheffield Hallam University.

Recipient of The Royal Academy of Engineering Leadership Scholarship 2018, Winner of the Sir Ralph Robins Scholarship 2018 and Winner of the IET Engineering Horizons Bursary 2016, Layla will be the lead technician supporting the design, maintenance and improvements of the electrical and electronic control interface systems involved within our patented Membrane-Free Electrolysers™.

Layla already has a wealth of experience to bring with her, including HMI/SCADA safety systems, Factory Acceptance Testing, Ladder Logic, equipment testing, and analysis of electrical hardware and control panel builds. This is excellent background knowledge as her role at CPH2 will also encompass the electrical safety of our technology as well as ensuring the workshop and lab are efficient and safe workspaces.

As the Vice-Chair and Schools Liaison Officer for the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) South Yorkshire Local Network, Layla leads the strategy for the committee locally while engaging with the upcoming engineers of tomorrow. As the Chair for the Young Professional’s Committee for the IET in South Yorkshire, she has gained project management and mentoring experience too.

“Working for CPH2 alongside my studies allows me to enhance my skill set and knowledge while working on ground-breaking projects at their Doncaster Technology Innovation Centre.”

Away from studying, work, and volunteering, Layla likes to spend time visiting museums and historical sites. Other hobbies include scenic walks, line-dancing, casual online gaming, painting, and calligraphy.

We don’t know where she finds the time! Welcome to the team, Layla.
